The approximate 50% relative humidity of the Wine Grotto helps maintain the recommended 70% relative humidity for cigar storage. Constant humidity is important because fluctuations down to 60% or lower can dry and split cigars; up to 80% or higher can mold and swell cigars. The Wine Grotto's cool temperature also prevents the hatching of harmful tobacco insects.

Choose the HUMIDRAWER™ cigar storage compartment or the Humidor Shelf. Both are available as accessories to the 61WC Wine Grotto only. They are easily installed by removing the top shelf assembly in the 61WC and replacing it with the accessory by removing and reinserting four Philips head screws. The only tool needed is a Phillips head screwdriver.

When either cigar storage accessory is installed, the Wine Grotto storage capacity is reduced from 50 to 38 wine bottles and the interior light is blocked.
